Considering the final few years of the company, there is a lot of “LOL” when it comes to WCW. That means from time to time it was hard to even remember managers who came and went to Where The Big Boys Played. Whether they got their start in WWE or eventually went there, or never went there at all, these WCW figures are hard to recall.

That doesn’t mean WCW didn’t have its fair share of great managers during the golden years. 21 years since the company's demise, let’s check in on some of the promotion’s forgotten managers and see what they’ve been up to these past few years.

9 Sonny Oono

Sonny Onoo And Ultimo Dragon

The manager of the likes of Bull Nakano and Ultimo Dragon, Sonny Oono did more for WCW than just be a manager. While he was Eric Bischoff’s childhood karate buddy, that friendship led to the birth of the Ninja Stars toy that Bischoff tried to sell to Verne Gagne and that got his foot in the door of the industry. Onoo also helped Bischoff establish a relationship with New Japan. When WCW folded, Onoo headed home to Iowa where he has been running an auto dealership ever since.

8 Midajah

Midajah And Scott Steiner

If anyone watches Scott Steiner’s WWE run and thought something was missing, you’re not wrong. Big Poppa Pump was missing his lead Freak, Midajah. She stayed by Steiner’s side most of his later WCW run.

After her time in WCW, the fitness model and trainer resumed her career competing in fitness competitions around the world and works as a Spanish interpreter. She also has her own beauty company, BeautyByMidajah.com.

7 Ted DiBiase

Ted DiBiase Debuts In WCW

Plenty of fans love WWE Hall Of Famer Ted DiBiase. But it’s hard to remember that the guy actually left the company in 1996 to be the benefactor of the nWo. He stayed on with the group despite Bischoff being revealed as the real leader months later. After briefly managing The Steiners, DiBiase was gone. He became a minister and late last year showed back up in WWE as part of NXT in the feud between Cameron Grimes and LA Knight.

6 James Mitchell

James Mitchel Sinister Minister

Early on in the career of The Sinister Minister, he managed Mortis and Wrath. He started by Kanyon’s side through thick and thin and would also be a part of ECW and the early days of TNA. Several times during his run in professional wrestling, he has popped up in cameo roles for WWE and AEW. Noways, he's become a fixture over in the NWA, managing Judias.

5 Miss Madness

Molly Holly Hall Of Fame

During the latter years of WCW, The Macho Man reinvented himself as musclebound leader of Team Madness, alongside his girlfriend, Gorgeous George. One of the ladies that was charged with teaching her the business was Miss Madness, who would eventually leave the company to become Molly Holly in WWE.

The Hall Of Famer has made sporadic cameos over the years and runs a wrestling school in Minnesota. She also has since returned to WWE to be an agent for the company.

4 Alexandra York

Terri Runnels Alexandra York

Way…WAY ahead of her time was the diminutive leader of The York Foundation, Alexandra York aka the future Marlena. She’d carry around a laptop that would “calculate” the statistics needed for her guys to win. Of course, she’d achieve greater fame in WWE alongside and against her husband Goldust. She has been a fixture on the appearances circuit for years and is currently gearing up to have her own live stream on Twitch.

3 J Biggs

Harlem Heat 2000

When Herman Stevens was in school, he befriended a wrestling/football legend - "The Big Cat" Ernie Ladd. That got his foot in the door of professional wrestling. Thankfully, the experiment to break up the Harlem Heat and put Stevie Ray with Ahmed Johnson didn’t last long. But the team lasted long enough to get the former Clarence Mason, J. Biggs as a manager. After his run in wrestling, the lifelong fan continued his career as a lawyer in his hometown of Delray Beach.

2 Tygress

Tygress WCW

Debuting as part of The Nitro Girls, Tygress was able to find a job after their dance troupe split up. She managed The Filthy Animals and even wrestled a match with Konnan. After WCW, she tried to break into the music industry as part of the group Diversity 5.

While stardom dreams were not realized, she put her college degree to use and became a certified public accountant in Texas - imagine a trained dancer doing your taxes - there’s got to be a Jerry Lawler-style joke in there somewhere.

1 Debra McMichael

Woman Debra And Miss Elizabeth

Debra McMichael actually debuted alongside her husband, Mongo in WCW. As one of the valets of The Four Horsemen, she often argued with Woman and/or Miss Elizabeth. She’d eventually find her way to WWE, again alongside Jeff Jarrett, who she’d eventually manage in WWE. She’d meet Stone Cold and wind up marrying The Rattlesnake for a time. She left the business entirely in the early 2000s to devote her time to getting her degree in Criminal Justice from her hometown alma matter, The University Of Alabama. But like many former wrestling alumni, she also makes appearances on the autograph circuit.
