When fans think about the superkick, they typically go straight to Shawn Michaels, who really mastered the move and helped make it what it was. However, since the days of the Sweet Chin Music, countless wrestlers have gone on to use the move, with this no longer feeling like a special featured move in someone's arsenal.

Instead, the superkick has fallen into the same trap as the DDT, now used commonly by lots of wrestlers with mixed success. A superkick always looks great, and that is why it works as a finisher or a move that is taken seriously. However, that isn't the case with every wrestler, as there are plenty who now use it just for the sake of it.
10 Use To Success: The Usos
The Usos have a great mix of moves in their arsenal, from highflying to technical moves. However, they also use a lot of strikes and that includes the superkick which they both nail perfectly.
They often use this move to brilliant success, either to win matches, hitting the move at the same time, or doing so to set up the splash from the top rope. Their matches are always fast-paced and exciting, and this move fits in perfectly with their style.
9 Fail With It: Buddy Murphy
Because Buddy Murphy's arsenal is so heavy on strikes, the superkick fits perfectly into that. He always hits a real flurry of moves in a short space of time which makes him incredibly exciting to watch.
He often pulls out the superkick during his matches, but he very rarely uses it to actually win one. However, to his credit, Murphy manages to make his superkick look absolutely incredible.
8 Use To Success: Tyler Breeze
Tyler Breeze is someone who uses the superkick often, although he renamed the move to the Supermodel Kick in order to suit his gimmick better. Breeze uses this as one of his finishing moves alongside the Unprettier.

Because of that, he has certainly had tons of success with the move throughout his career. The majority of that success has come during his spells in NXT. Regardless, Breeze certainly makes the move look good.
7 Fail With It: The Young Bucks
The Young Bucks are two of the main culprits when it comes to overusing the superkick as just a normal, transitional wrestling move. They use the move so frequently they created the 'superkick party,' happily referencing the fact they use it a lot.
While they certainly pay the move respect and treat it like a big deal, they do so many of them that it's impossible for the tag team to use it as a finishing move. Therefore they don't really have much success with the move when it comes to winning matches.
6 Use To Success: Adam Cole
A wrestler who used to spend a lot of time with The Young Bucks during his Bullet Club days is Adam Cole, and he too uses the superkick. However, the Undisputed Era leader certainly uses it to success.
Cole hits this move frequently but has been known to finish off some of his opponents with it from time to time. He has also used it to connect with people hitting springboard moves as well, which always looks incredible.
5 Fail With It: Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins has an incredible arsenal of moves, being able to bust out a wide variety during his matches. One of his go-to moves is certainly the superkick, but he very rarely ever gets any real success with it.

Rollins mainly uses this move in a flurry of offense or late on in a match to create some separation. While he certainly hits a great superkick, he doesn't use the move to successfully win matches, instead opting to use other moves to finish matches.
4 Use To Success: Dolph Ziggler
Sure, over the years people have claimed Dolph Ziggler wants to be Shawn Michaels, but he has certainly made the superkick an important part of his career. He's treated the move with respect and kept it as a finisher.
While he doesn't always beat people with it, whenever Ziggler hits the move, fans react like he could, which is purely down to how he has used it over the years. Ziggler also happens to have one of the nicest superkicks in wrestling as well, which is always good to see.
3 Fail With It: Luke Gallows
Seeing someone the size of Luke Gallows hit a superkick is incredibly impressive, and he makes the move look good. Because of that, Gallows really should transition this into being a move that he actually beats people with.

Fans would easily buy into this as a finishing move because of how it looks. However, because this move never gets a victory for him, it is something that he fails with a lot.
2 Use To Success: Rusev
He may not call it a superkick, but his Machka Kick is exactly that and Rusev/Miro uses it to great success. While the Accolade is his primary finisher, the Machka Kick has been just as effective throughout his career so far.
Because of his size, seeing Rusev bust out a superkick is very impressive, in a similar way to when Umaga did the move. Rusev has great success with it and he certainly makes the move look fantastic.
1 Fail With It: Johnny Gargano
Johnny Gargano is another wrestler who falls into the category of using this move an awful lot but rarely actually winning a match with it. Gargano's superkick looks really effective, which is why it's a shame he doesn't have more success with it.
Because of that, Gargano falls into the 'failed with it' side of things, despite the fact that he has one of the best superkicks in wrestling. With the move being so great, it would be nice to see him really push to use it as just a finishing move, and not throughout the whole match.
