One of the greatest managers in the history of wrestling, Jim Cornette has seen a resurgence in popularity over the last few years owing to his highly entertaining podcasts. And while everyone might not agree with what he says, there is no denying the fact that he is a genius when it comes to professional wrestling.
Belonging to the old school, Cornette is naturally irate with most of what he sees in the wrestling ring today. And considering the fact that the wrestling audience today is only a fraction of what it used to be back in his days, it is hard to argue with a lot of what he says.

One company that Cornette has a pretty strong opinion about is AEW. Without further ado, let's take a look at five AEW stars that he actually likes and five that he cannot stand.
10 Likes: MJF
It is not hard to see why Cornette is so high on MJF. Despite his young age, MJF is as old school as they come and takes care of maintaining kayfabe even outside the ring in an era where pretty much nobody else does.
MJF is also spectacular on the mic. It is even arguable that he might very well be the best heel in the business today. We do not need to tell you how great he is though cause he takes great pleasure in doing that himself every week.
9 Hates: Kenny Omega
Now here's a man who divides the opinion of the wrestling community. Many believe that he is the best wrestler in the world today while others consider him to be vastly overrated. There is no doubt though which side of the fence Jim sits on.

Cornette just cannot stand how overtly dramatic Omega tries to make a match through his mannerisms and over-the-top facial expressions. And let's be honest, a lot it is pretty ridiculous. Omega's run in AEW has been pretty bland as well, which back up a lot of his claims.
8 Likes: Jungle Boy
AEW may have a lot of problems but they have a pretty promising bunch of young wrestlers who can be major stars if booked right. One of them is Jungle Boy but he has not made much of an move up the card since the company started. Obviously he is pretty green at the moment and it will be a few years before he can be a part of the main event scene.
Cornette is an admirer of Jungle Boy as well and believes that he can be a future star as a wrestler. He is not as big a fan of some of the people that he is associated with though.
7 Hates: Marko Stunt
Cornette belongs to the era when wrestling was considered real by the vast majority of the people watching and treated as a legitimate sport. That ship has sailed a long time ago and, today, pretty much everyone with a passing interest knows the inner workings of wrestling.
Of course, believing in wrestling takes a suspension of disbelief to some extent but it is just a bit too much to see wrestlers twice Stunt's size pretend to be hurt by him. And it is arguable that Jurassic Express will never be a top tag team as long as they are associated with him.
6 Likes: Cody
It would not be wrong to say that Jim Cornette has a bit of a soft spot for Cody. After all, his history with Dusty Rhodes is well-documented and as a result it is only natural.
Of course, a lot of what Cody has done in AEW has been great, but it is hard not to feel that he has faded away with time. He started all guns blazing with that incredible match against Dustin Rhodes at Double or Nothing and his first few months with the company was astounding.
At one point of time, he was probably the hottest babyface in the wrestling industry. Right now, he is just floundering around the mid-card with the TNT Championship though.
5 Hates: Matt Jackson
Another wrestler who the fans either hate or love, Matt Jackson is certainly not Jim Cornette's cup of tea. He hates both The Young Bucks, but it is the older Matt who takes the cake. Cornette even refers to him as Road Warrior Buck because of how he decides to no sell everything at times.

Just like Omega, many fans consider them to be the best in the world at what they do. And 20-years-ago, they probably would have been as a result of their incredible athleticism. But in an era where their style has become commonplace, they just don't stand out.
4 Likes: Britt Baker
Here's someone who has grown in leaps and bounds since the company started. Britt Baker has always had the look to be the face of AEW's women's division, which is pretty thin to be honest.
Cornette has always made the case for Baker being the top babyface of the division, but it is undeniable that she has been spectacular in her new heel persona as well. Her interactions with Tony Schiavone have been some of the highlights of their show over the past few months.
For some reason though, the company seems intent on giving everyone the Women's Championship other than her.
3 Hates: Riho
Riho's time as the AEW Women's Champion led to some pretty hilarious segments on Jim Cornette's podcast. One of the main reasons for that is the fact that Riho beating someone the size of Nyla Rose is absolutely unbelievable.
Standing at five feet tall and weighing just 93 pounds, it was incredible that the company decided to crown her their first ever Women's Champion over the likes of Nyla Rosa and Britt Baker. Of course, we are in an era where size does not matter in wrestling as much as it used to. But some of this stuff just does not make any sense.
2 Likes: Dax Harwood
Another throwback to an era when wrestling was in a better state than it is today, Dax Harwood has often been compared to Arn Anderson. And Cornette has proclaimed FTR (formerly known as The Revival in the WWE) as the best tag team in all of wrestling a number of times.
After growing frustrated with the lack of opportunities and terrible booking in the WWE, Dax Harwood (Scott Dawson) and Cash Wheeler (Dash Wilder) decided to leave the company earlier this year. Now they find themselves in AEW, where the fans will finally get the chance to see them compete against The Young Bucks.
1 Hates: Joey Janela
It is hard to watch Joey Janela perform and believe that there is any chance of him being a main event player in any major wrestling company. He does not have the conventional look of a wrestler but that has not stopped many in the past from being stars in the industry.
Janela seems like someone who does not belong on national television but strictly on the independent scene. It has been months but he has never managed to quite shake off that stigma from him. On the bright side, his presence did give Cornette the opportunity to come up with the incredible 'Jelly Nutella' nickname.
