Back in April, Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt faced off against fellow HGTV heavyweights like Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent from "Nate and Jeremiah: Save My House," Mike Holmes from "Holmes + Holmes," David Bromstad from "My Lottery Dream Home," and more to see who could add the most property value to identical homes on HGTV's "Rock the Block." Despite the stiff competition, Brian and Mika managed to pull out a win with their property that included a converted porch with a smart pergola, an indoor two-lane bowling alley, a home fitness center, and a mother-in-law suite, according to HGTV.
The couple were completely shocked that they won the competition, exclaiming during the finale of the second season that the day they won "Rock the Block" was one of the best days of their lives. "This is surreal — one of the best moments of my life," Brian said during the show's finale. "We were up against some of the best designers in the world, and to know now that we're in that same category?! It just blows my mind!"
For their accomplishment, Brian and Mika earned bragging rights and a street named in their honor.
