Multi-person matches can be hard to book at times with several competitors clustered into one match. However, these 4-way matches that WWE has produced over the years have been forgotten about for good and bad reasons!
Throughout the history of WWE there have been multi-person matches if several wrestlers are chasing after one wrestler's championship. Sometimes, fatal-4-way matches can be overloaded, but if they are done correctly with everyone involved they are tons of fun to watch. Of course, not every fatal-4-way match is going to be remembered. John Cena's WWE Championship title defense against Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, and Edge at Backlash 2007 is one of the greatest four-way matches in WWE history.

There have been some underrated gems of four-way matches that have taken place on WWE pay-per-views and free television. Sometimes, they can get lost in the shuffle because of other matches on the card that have overshadowed it, but some have proved to be fantastic contests, and others not so competitive.
10 JBL Vs. Booker T Vs. Eddie Guerrero Vs. The Undertaker - Armageddon 2004
JBL proved his credentials as a fighting champion, but he was in store for a long night as he put his coveted WWE Championship on the line in a fatal-4-way match against fellow Texans Booker T, Eddie Guerrero, and The Undertaker at Armageddon 2004. This was a competitive championship match with Booker and Eddie working as a cohesive unit in the early stages.
As expected, Booker and Eddie's alliance broke down with both desperate to win the WWE Championship. However, Heidenreich cost Undertaker the WWE Title by removing him from the equation, and JBL retained the WWE Championship once more as he executed the Clothesline From Hell on Booker T.
9 Spike Dudley Vs. Rey Mysterio Vs. Billy Kidman Vs. Chavo Guerrero - Survivor Series 2004
A month before the fatal-4-way match for the WWE Championship at Armageddon 2004, the curtain-raiser at Survivor Series 2004 involved the Cruiserweight Championship. Spike Dudley put his title on the line against Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, and Chavo Guerrero, who were former Cruiserweight Champions in their own right.
This was cruiserweight wrestling at its finest with the action fast and furious as soon as the bell sounded. There was a remarkable spot with Kidman executing an electric chair drop on Chavo whilst Chavo suplexed Kidman simultaneously. Chavo was close to regaining the gold with the Gory Bomb but Kidman broke up the fall with a leg drop. Spike took advantage, and he retained the Cruiserweight Championship.
8 Natalya Vs. Michelle McCool Vs. Eve Torres Vs. Layla - Royal Rumble 2011
Natalya was expected to defend the Divas Championship against Michelle McCool and Layla in a handicap match, but the Anonymous Raw General Manager included Eve Torres to make it a fatal-4-way match at the 2011 Royal Rumble.
There's no surprise that this Divas Championship match was forgotten about because of the World Title matches and 40-man Royal Rumble match that was on the card. Nonetheless, Eve became a two-time Divas Champion after she connected a moonsault on Layla.

Trish managed to reach the topes, and Jazz broke up the Boston Crab. Moreover, Victoria hoisted Trish over the top rope when she attempted the Stratusfaction. Victoria was going for the Widow's Peak but Jacqueline countered it. Jazz went on to retain the Women's Championship after she laid out Jacqueline with the DDT.
5 Too Cool Vs. Edge & Christian Vs. Hardy Boyz Vs. T&A - King Of The Ring 2000
King of the Ring 2000 wasn't a good night for defending champions as every title changed hands. Too Cool were the reigning WWE World Tag Team Champions, and Edge and Christian, the Hardy Boyz, and T&A were their challengers in a fatal-4-way elimination match.
This was a fascinating Tag Team Championship match, and the match was whittled down between Too Cool and Edge and Christian. When the referee wasn't looking, Christian nailed Grand Master Sexay with the Tag Team Championship, and Edge covered Sexay to regain the WWE World Tag Team Championship for the pair.

3 Right To Censor Vs. Dudley Boyz Vs. Edge & Christian Vs. K-Kwik & Road Dogg - Armageddon 2000
Right to Censor's Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather had their hands full in their WWE World Tag Team Championship title defense at Armageddon 2000. It was one fall to a finish with the Dudley Boyz, Edge and Christian, and K-Kwik and Road Dogg determined to unseat Right to Censor for the titles.
Steven Richards was at ringside, and he gave Buchanan and Goodfather a helping hand. The in-ring action was solid but Edge and Christian ran out as four-time WWE World Tag Team Champions with Christian putting Bubba Ray away with the Unprettier.
2 Steve Austin & The Undertaker Vs. Kane & Mankind Vs. New Age Outlaws Vs. The Nation - Raw (8/10/98)
On the August 10, 1998 edition of Raw, Steve Austin and The Undertaker put their WWE World Tag Team Championship up for grabs against Kane and Mankind, the New Age Outlaws, and the Nation's Intercontinental Champion The Rock and the European Champion D'Lo Brown. The main event scene was red hot in 1998, and for the Tag Team Championship to be featured highly was good to see.
All four teams looked strong here, and it was a wide-open match with Austin and Undertaker's WWE Championship match at SummerSlam 1998 looming. Kane managed to Chokeslam his brother, and that was enough for Kane and Mankind to once again hold the WWE World Tag Team Championship.
1 King Booker Vs. Batista Vs. Finlay Vs. Bobby Lashley - No Mercy 2006
King Booker was originally scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Bobby Lashley in a one-on-one match at No Mercy 2006, but SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long changed that. He added Batista and Finlay to the match to make it a fatal-4-way match.
This fatal-4-way match is often overlooked, and it was a magnificent match between the four. The Animal was close to regaining the Big Gold Belt with his patented Batista Bomb on Finlay, but Lashley speared Batista. That allowed Booker to take advantage, and he covered his former stablemate Finlay to remain as World Heavyweight Champion.
