There is a place for wrestlers of all different shapes and sizes in the business, and that has always been the case. However, during the 2000s, there is no doubt that the focus was on bigger wrestlers with more size and power, and that led to a lot of giants being brought into the business.

Of course, many giants have been able to make a huge impact in the business, with the likes of Big Show and Kane in WWE having great runs during this period. However, there are plenty that didn't make a mark, and they have ended up being forgotten about over time.

10 Bam Neely

Bam Neely was pushed as the muscle for the La Familia faction, which was a major heel group in WWE at the time. Fans are well aware of the faction as it was a huge part of Edge's career, however, Neely is often a forgotten part of that, mainly because he wasn't pushed in the same manner.

He was most associated with Chavo Guerrero who was working in ECW a lot during this run, which wasn't the most popular show. However, Neely himself didn't get to the next level as a performer and ultimately ended up being forgotten by fans.

9 Mike Knox

Mike Knox WWE

Mike Knox had a unique look about himself with his huge beard helping him stand out, and at points, WWE did look to push him as a threat on the main roster. However, outside his work with Kelly Kelly, Knox was never given a major storyline to truly sink teeth into.

He was a hard-hitting wrestler inside the ring, but he never had any classic matches throughout his career to the point where fans would be talking about him consistently since he ended up being released, and instead he has become a forgotten giant of that period.

8 Vance Archer

Lance Archer In WWE

Nowadays, fans are well aware of who Lance Archer is in AEW, even though he isn't always booked prominently. However, the vast majority of fans do not remember the fact that he worked for WWE during the 2000s working as Vance Archer.

Even though he had the size that Vince McMahon typically looks for in a professional wrestler, he was never pushed as a compelling character that fans had any reason to care about, and that is ultimately why he was forgotten.

7 Mark Jindrak

Mark Jindrak

Mark Jindrak is someone who did have potential inside the ring, and at one point he was going to be a member of Evolution instead of Batista when the Animal got injured. Had that happened, Jindrak's entire career could have been different, but the company didn't end up going in that direction.

Jindrak was an athletic in-ring talent, but while he could produce an entertaining match he was never pushed in terms of having a major character. That is what fans gravitate towards, and unfortunately, it was an area that Jindrak was lacking in.

6 Matt Morgan

Matt Morgan in TNA

Matt Morgan had a brief run in WWE where the company attempted to push him as a threat, but he was a character that didn't connect with fans and lacked a lot of charisma to become a big star at that time. While he was solid enough inside the ring, he never had a major gimmick to grip onto.

Morgan had a slightly stronger run in TNA, where he was able to enjoy championship success. However, even then he was surrounded by other names such as AJ Styles and Samoa Joe who fans typically remember before thinking of him.

5 Viscera

Viscera in TNA

Fans might remember Viscera's run as Mabel, which is when he was given his big push in WWE, but when it comes to the character Viscera there was very little for people to recall. It wasn't a gimmick that audiences cared about because he was often just put in throwaway matches.

There was a lack of genuine storylines for him once he reached this stage in his career. While he might have been a dominant big man, the matches were often short and not memorable, which is a reason why people have forgotten about him over time.

4 Chuck Palumbo

Chuck Palumbo was an underrated wrestler from the 2000s, someone that was more than capable of putting on a great match when he got the chance. However, he was never pushed heavily as a main event star, often working in the mid-card which stopped him from kicking on.

He was able to have a solid career, whether it was in WCW, riding on his motorcycle, or working in the Full Blooded Italians. However, Palumbo isn't a name that audiences still remember to this day in the mainstream.

3 Gene Snitsky

Gene Snitsky ECW

Gene Snitsky had moments where WWE seemed to want to push him, mainly when he was involved in the storyline between Kane and Lita. However, outside of that, he ended up slipping down the card a lot, which is something that stopped him from thriving.

Snitsky was often just thrown out as a generic heel to compete against babyfaces that needed putting over, and he was rarely given a major push as a singles wrestler in featured spots, which has led to him being forgotten.

2 Akebono

The Big Show and Akebono in sumo face off.

Akebono only had three matches in WWE, therefore it is very easy to forget his time with the company. However, one of those was a featured WrestleMania bout against The Big Show, with this being a sumo match that seemed to be done to humiliate the World's Largest Athlete more than anything else.

That WrestleMania match was not a good one though, therefore it isn't a big surprise that fans have completely forgotten about him being involved with WWE. However, had the company pushed him properly, there is no doubt that more could have been achieved here as he was unique.

1 Nathan Jones

Nathan Jones

Nathan Jones was a good worker inside the ring, and he is somebody that WWE did have huge plans for. The company wanted to make him a big star, and that is why he ended up being placed alongside The Undertaker for a storyline where he was being mentored by the Deadman.

That is a golden ticket for any wrestler, and most people in that role would be remembered forever. However, Jones didn't stick around in WWE for a long time, and because of that, he has become a forgotten giant from the 2000s.
