The Road Warriors were one of the most dominant tag teams in pro wrestling history. With their intimidating looks and always-forward attitude, the Road Warriors mowed through the competition basically everywhere they went: from the AWA to Georgia Championship Wrestling, and from the NWA and WCW to the WWE. They held tag team gold in every major promotion during their run from 1983 until 1999.

Hawk and Animal were so dominant that they almost never lost - and when they did, there were usually some shenanigans involved. As a result, the team beat most of the wrestlers it faced at one point or another. Some wrestlers, however, escaped that fate and miraculously remained undefeated against the Legion of Doom.

Here are ten examples of wrestlers that fought the Road Warriors at least once - and remained undefeated.

10 Jim Duggan

The Road Warriors were babyfaces for most of their run. However, they competed as heels in Bill Watts' Mid-South Wrestling where they encountered 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan. Incredibly, Duggan remained undefeated in five matches with the Road Warriors. Alongside Magnum T.A. and the Junkyard Dog, Duggan won four matches and fought to one draw with the mighty LoD.

9 Greg Gagne

During their stint in the AWA in the mid-eighties, the Road Warriors were basically invincible. They ran through the competition and their defeat by Jimmy Garvin and Steve Regal for the tag team title was a huge shocker. They basically beat everybody - except one person that seemed to have the Road Warriors' number: Greg Gagne. The promoter's son beat the Road Warriors in tag team and six-man tag team action alongside partners Jim Brunzell and Jerry Blackwell.

8 X-Pac

By 1998, the Legion of Doom were on the downswing in WWE, so the name of X-Pac is less surprising when the timeframe is taken into consideration. X-Pac fought Hawk and Animal three times at house shows in June of 1998, alongside DX teammates Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, and Triple H in six-man and eight-man tag team matches.

7 Jeff Jarrett

Bookending X-Pac's streak against the Road Warriors was Jeff Jarrett's. In January and February of 1998, Jeff teamed twice with Barry Windham to beat Hawk and Animal at TV tapings. On the night after WrestleMania 15, Jeff then teamed with fellow tag team championship partner Owen Hart to beat the Legion of Doom on Raw is War to retain their titles.

6 Rick Martel

Before he was a model, Rick Martel was a household name in his native Quebec, as well as an AWA world champion. In 1985, he teamed twice with Dino Bravo against the Road Warriors, once in Quebec City and once in Montreal. The French Canadians won in Quebec City, while the battle in Montreal ended in a draw. In a footnote, Martel also teamed with Jos Leduc in Montreal later in the year and defeated the team of Animal and Paul Ellering.

5 Bugsy McGraw

Often forgotten today, Bugsy McGraw was a popular babyface in the 1980s, especially in Georgia and later for a brief run with Jim Crockett Promotions. His path crossed with the Road Warriors in Georgia in 1983, where Bugsy would beat the Road Warriors in two six-man tag team matches and one regular tag match, alongside Stan Hansen.

4 Angelo Mosca

In the category of Bugsy McGraw is Angelo Mosca, a Canadian muscleman that is probably best known for a brief stint in the NWA. Mosca faced the Road Warriors twice in 1984 in the NWA: once alongside Wahoo McDaniel and once with King Kong Bundy as his partner. Mosca won with Bundy by his side and fought the Warriors to a draw with McDaniel.

The LoD had lost a lot of its mystique in their last WWE run from 1997 to 1999. A one-night return in 2003 saw them challenge for the World Tag Team Title against RVD and Kane, and the young generation beat the veterans in a forgettable match. The only thing of note in the match in the fact that it was RVD's only encounter with the Road Warriors, hence leaving him undefeated.

2 Mike Graham

Aside from the AWA, NWA, and WWE, the Road Warriors also had stints in Georgia and Florida. In the latter territory, they crossed paths with Mike Graham - son of promoter and former wrestling superstar Eddie Graham. Mike, later a producer in WCW, faced off with the Road Warriors only once - alongside Scott McGhee. The duo beat the Road Warriors (which also makes McGhee an eligible inclusion on this list)

1 Vince Russo

Vince Russo WCW Champion

In January 2003, TNA was still doing weekly PPVs under the NWA banner. The January 15th edition saw head booker Vince Russo in an eight-man tag team match alongside Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, Low-Ki defeat the team of Dusty Rhodes, Jeff Jarrett and the Road Warriors. It was Russo's one and only meeting with the Road Warriors and the former WCW World Champion walked away victorious after dragging Skipper over a unconscious Dusty Rhodes. At least, Russo didn't win the match himself.
