The ratings of wrestlers in WWE video games is always something that will provide controversy, with people often not agreeing on things. While it is all ultimately opinion-based, there are certain ratings that are given out which do lead to people scratching their heads and questioning them.

Sometimes the true talent of a wrestler isn't reflected within their rating, which can be unfair at points. People who a lot of fans might presume are guaranteed to be getting a big score can often be left underwhelmed by what they see overall. Whether that's down to their gimmick, or the fact 2K have just got it slightly wrong, these ratings will get people talking when they play.
10 Sami Zayn (80)
On paper, the score of 80 is a strong one for Sami Zayn, which is much higher than many wrestlers in the game. However, when compared to other people, it does feel rather low. Sami is a heavily featured talent, a former Intercontinental Champion, and one of the best in-ring stars the company has.
Yet he is rated the exact same as Mansoor and MVP. While they are both talented athletes in their own right, it is clear that Zayn is a level above them from a wrestling perspective. However, that is not reflected in the score he has been given.
9 Shawn Michaels (88)
Shawn Michaels is considered to be one of the greatest in-ring talents of all time. He is often in the debate when it comes to a Mount Rushmore of wrestling, which is why 88 seems like a low score. The debate is often between him and Bret Hart, and that's because they are both so good.

However, the Hitman finds himself rated as 91 within this game, which is much higher than HBK. While some people might deem that to be just accurate, the fact that people such as Braun Strowman are above him is when it becomes questionable.
8 Liv Morgan (77)
While Liv Morgan is one of the fastest-rising talents within WWE, her score does not reflect that in this game. A 77 rating actually makes her one of the lowest-rated stars on the current roster, which is a big surprise considering how fantastic she has been over the past year.
Liv's in-ring skills have improved massively in that time, and her booking has reflected that. She has been put into the title picture and made a top member of the roster, which is why people likely expected her to be rated much higher than this.
7 Kane '08 (90)
2K likes to include legends into these games, and that can often include several versions of the same person from different years. Kane has two characters in this one, with a modern-day version of the character and one from 2008. For some reason, the older version is given a whopping rating of 90.
This makes him one of the best characters in the entire game, which is an oversight. While Kane was good during that year, he was not the top star in the company. Had it been the original masked gimmick, then it would have been acceptable, but this is too high.
6 Stephanie McMahon (77)
Stephanie McMahon is obviously a prominent and powerful character in the world of WWE, which 2K wants to reflect. However, the playable version of her, which is available to wrestle, is rated too high. She was never suited for in-ring action, which is why this is too much.

Stephanie is rated at the same level as some current wrestlers, while she is actually higher than others who are full-time wrestlers. While her second name is McMahon, this is one rating that is overblown even for an ego like The Billion Dollar Princess.
5 Chyna (87)
There is no denying that Chyna has a strong rating in the game, and she is one of the top female talents that are available. However, for somebody as dominant as her, who has put together so many incredible moments, it could be argued that she deserves a little bit more.
Having her just outside the 90 mark would have felt fair, and it would make her a more enticing character to play as. Because she is such a legendary figure, it is surprising that her score does not reflect that, as it does for many others in the game.
4 Chad Gable (76)
Chad Gable is a fantastic professional wrestler and someone who can mix it up with anybody and hold his own. However, that is not reflected in the score, where he has one of the lowest in the game. Considering the fact that he is one of the most heavily featured talents on Raw, this is extremely low.
Gable might not have been pushed too much throughout the development of this game, but his wrestling ability has never been in question. However, for some reason, that isn't showcased in his rating, which will no doubt change next year.
3 Randy Orton (88)
Randy Orton is one of the best wrestlers on the WWE roster, but that is not reflected in his score this year. While 88 is certainly one of the strongest, there are a lot of wrestlers who do rank ahead of him, which is wrong. He should be further up the rankings, with the rest of the top names.
The likes of Bobby Lashley and AJ Styles find themselves with 91 ratings, and that is the level where The Viper belongs. There is a reason why he is always featured and in main events, which is down to how talented he is, and it should be featured in the game.
2 Maryse (79)
During her full-time run as a wrestler, the score of 79 would have been a fair one for Maryse. However, at this stage of her career, working as a part-time wrestler, it seems to be a little too much. She's someone that is mainly used as a manager right now, which is why her score should be lower.

There are a lot of wrestlers who have lower scores than Maryse for this particular game that do deserve to be higher. While she's great in the role she has, as an in-ring worker, this is too high.
1 Reckoning (76)
The biggest rating that makes no sense is that of Reckoning. WWE decided to include the former Retribution star, despite the fact she has since been released. However, her rating is a strange one. The main reason for that is because WWE also decided to include Mia Yim into the game, yet she has a rating of 79.
While Reckoning was obviously booked in a poorer manner than that of her NXT gimmick, the fact is that it is the same person. Most people would presume they'd have the same rating, or perhaps a slight difference down to booking. But a three-point difference is extreme.
