Bray Wyatt recently returned to the WWE to a huge ovation, with fans sorely missing his unique character and captivating talents. It can be hoped that this time around, WWE utilizes Wyatt in the best possible way, because in his last run, things were very up and down.

With Wyatt having peculiar personas during his time in wrestling, he was more prone to experiencing weird moments. Some of these were downright creepy, weird from a booking perspective, or absolutely surreal. Fans will remember his most weird moments, such as the Firefly Funhouse Match and getting burned alive by Randy Orton, but there are some things that fans may have forgotten about.
10 Sitting Ringside For Match Against Brock Lesnar
In 2016, Bray Wyatt entered a very short and forgettable feud with Brock Lesnar, which got dropped out of nowhere. They did have a match though when Lesnar took on Wyatt and Luke Harper in a handicap match at Roadblock.
Wyatt simply sat ringside for this match, despite being a member of the bout. Lesnar destroyed Harper as Wyatt watched. These weren’t very good mind games from Wyatt, with the entire thing not really making any sense.
9 Cinematic Fight With The New Day
After the buzz created by Matt Hardy’s cinematic “Deletion” match in Impact, WWE decided to jump on the bandwagon by producing their own cinematic production. The Wyatt Family fought The New Day in a field.
It wasn’t creepy aside from the shaky cam and awkward filter put on the screen, with it just being a bog-standard brawl outdoors. The weird thing about it was just how pointless the whole thing seemed. WWE clearly didn't have their best producers working on this, because it was messy.
8 New Nexus Initiation
Some fans may have forgotten that Bray Wyatt used to be “Husky Harris”, who was a member of the Nexus. When CM Punk took over the group, the members had to go through initiations to earn their spot in the “New Nexus”.
Wyatt had to take hits from a belt to become a member of the faction. It gave a cult-like feel to the Nexus, taking the group in a whole new direction.
7 Sister Abigail Vs Pumpkin Demon
Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor were embroiled in a feud back in 2017, and it led them to the TLC PPV. Wyatt had revealed the “Sister Abigail” alter ego prior to this match, which saw Wyatt dressed up with a voice changer, and it looked silly.

Even more ridiculous was Finn Balor’s “Demon” face paint, which resembled a pumpkin because of it being close to Halloween. Fortunately, Wyatt was ill and was ruled out of the PPV, otherwise, fans would have had to see Sister Abigail take on the Pumpkin Demon. That could have caused irreversible damage to both men had it taken place.
6 Reporter In The Wyatt Compound
Back when The Wyatt Family made their debut on the main roster in 2013, a WWE reporter decided to visit the Wyatt Family Compound. The reporter would even ask locals for directions, which was very weird.
When going in, the compound was just a house with dull lighting, with it not looking overly weird when all was said and done. There was a man in a room chanting the word “obey”, which was creepy. Overall, the segment was odd, and with it taking place nine years ago, fans will have likely forgotten the inside of Wyatt’s Compound.
5 Crying Over His Rocking Chair
Ahead of WrestleMania 31, Wyatt entered a feud with The Undertaker, though it was Wyatt who had to carry the feud as Undertaker didn’t return to WWE TV.
Undertaker used his magic from afar to strike lightning on Wyatt’s signature rocking chair, causing it to erupt into flames in the ring. Wyatt burst into tears, both laughing and crying in hysterics. It wasn’t ever really made clear what importance the chair held.
4 Muscle Man Dance
Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Funhouse segments offered a lot of bizarre and entertaining moments. One of the more surreal was a music video performed by Wyatt and Huskus The Pig Boy, as they showed the world the “Muscle Man Dance”.
For the formerly creepy, brooding, and soft-spoken Wyatt, this was a complete change of pace. It was bizarre to witness him singing a song like that.
3 Cinematic Match Vs Matt Hardy
Matt Hardy somehow managed to convince Vince McMahon to allow his “Broken Universe” into WWE, which led to the company even letting one of Hardy's strange cinematic matches take place, with him taking on Wyatt in an “Ultimate Deletion” match.
It featured all the expected wacky shenanigans, and it ended with Wyatt getting submerged in the Lake of Reincarnation. It is baffling to think this type of match took place on WWE TV, well before cinematic matches became commonplace in wrestling.
2 Returning On The WrestleMania Pre-Show
Following Wyatt’s dip into the Lake of Reincarnation, fans expected a complete refresh and a brand-new gimmick. However, his big return came on the WrestleMania 34 pre-show, helping Matt Hardy win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Wyatt was dressed the same and looked the same, with his only difference being that he was now friends with Hardy. This was a terrible booking decision, as WWE could have tried something new.
1 House Of Horrors
Years before WWE’s pandemic era in which cinematic bouts became more normal, and even a year before Wyatt’s Deletion match with Hardy, WWE booked a cinematic match between Wyatt and Randy Orton.
The pair battled in a House of Horrors match, which saw the two fighting inside an abandoned and ruined house. It was weird, and silly, but not very good.
