Edge returned to professional wrestling at Royal Rumble 2020 after a nine-year absence which is one of the most heartfelt moments in The Rated-R Superstar's career, however, other things go unnoticed in the 11-time World Champion's career.
The Ultimate Opportunist is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and he has captivated audiences for many years. Edge certainly wasn't the finished article in his debut year in 1998, but he went from strength to strength. Unfortunately, Edge retired prematurely in 2011 and it remained to be seen if he would ever get back inside the squared circle.

Thankfully Edge managed to come back to wrestling and continues to tear the house down. However, despite The Rated-R Superstar being an 11-time World Champion, a five-time Intercontinental Champion, and a 14-time Tag Team Champion, amongst other accolades, there has been so much he has achieved in his career that plenty of fans forget hidden details.
10 Captured Second Tag Team Championship At King Of The Ring 2000
Edge and Christian are one of the most decorated tag teams in the Attitude Era, but not all of their Tag Team Title victories are memorable. Their first and seventh Tag Team Championship wins are the most memorable as they came at WrestleMania 2000 at the expense of their rivals The Dudley Boyz and The Hardy Boyz.
At King of the Ring 2000, Edge and Christian collided with Too Cool, T&A, and The Hardy Boyz in a four-corners elimination match for the Tag Team Titles. The match was tons of fun but Christian clocked Sexay in the back of the head with one of the Tag Team Title belts which allowed Edge to regain the titles for the duo.
9 Faced Brock Lesnar In A Handicap Match For The WWE Title At Rebellion 2002
An underrated gem of a WWE Championship match took place at Rebellion 2002. It was the fourth and final Rebellion that emanated from Manchester, England. Edge challenged for the WWE Title against reigning champion Brock Lesnar and his agent Paul Heyman.
Edge held his own and he displayed the attributes that he could bring to the table. At one point, Edge superbly countered The Next Big Thing's patented F5 with his trademark Edgecution. Inevitably, Brock retained the WWE Championship, but it is definitely a forgotten match that never gets spoken about and is worth a rewatch.
8 Co-Hardcore Champion With Mick Foley
After their barnburner of a Hardcore match at WrestleMania 22, Edge and Mick Foley formed an unexpected alliance as they had mutual respect. The Hardcore Legend turned heel, and he announced himself and Edge as co-Hardcore Champions.
This is forgotten about as Edge nor Foley ever defended the title. In all honesty, it made little sense since they didn't need to bring back the Hardcore Championship. Nevertheless, Edge and Foley's alliance was brilliant since they decimated Tommy Dreamer, Terry Funk, and Beaulah McGillicutty at ECW One Night Stand 2006.
7 Teamed With Sable On His Pay-Per-View Debut
SummerSlam 1998 happened to be Edge's first match at The Biggest Party of The Summer, but it was also his maiden pay-per-view match. The future World Champion was revealed as Sable's mystery partner in a mixed tag team match against Marc Mero and Jacqueline.

Fans didn't know what to expect from Edge, but he was by far the best performer in the match. It was proof here that he was going to be a major player in the future. Inevitably, he and Sable picked up a monumental victory in a subpar match.
6 Champion Vs. Champion Match Against The Miz
On the January 24, 2011 edition of Raw, Edge returned to Raw as the reigning World Heavyweight Champion and he collided with WWE Champion The Miz in a forgotten champion versus champion match. Edge's challenger for the World Heavyweight Title at the Royal Rumble PPV, Dolph Ziggler undertook commentary duties.
Nevertheless, Edge and Miz actually had a decent match together and both showed why they were reigning World Champions. Unfortunately, Ziggler got involved when Edge was closing in on victory, and Randy Orton came down to ringside to even up the odds as he was facing Miz for the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble.
5 Unbeaten Against Batista In Three Successive PPV Bouts
After Edge cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on a wounded Undertaker to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, he was immediately engaged in a feud with Batista. This rivalry is barely spoken about, but their chemistry together was great.
However, the outcome of the feud was surprising as The Animal faced off with Edge three times for the World Heavyweight Champion and came up short each time. The Rated-R Superstar beat Batista at Judgment Day 2007, at One Night Stand 2007 in a cage match, and at Vengeance: Night of Champions. The latter event was Batista's final shot at the World Heavyweight Title as long as Edge was the reigning champion. Heels usually get their comeuppance which failed to materialize in this feud.
4 Forfeited The Intercontinental Championship In 2004
Edge marked his return after a long injury lay-off and he joined Raw in the 2004 Draft Lottery and he set his sights on Randy Orton's Intercontinental Championship. Edge and Orton had one of the best Intercontinental Title matches in the Ruthless Aggression Era at Vengeance 2004 and he became a five-time Intercontinental Champion.

The highlight of this reign was Edge retaining the Intercontinental Championship against Batista and Chris Jericho at SummerSlam 2004. Unfortunately, the injury bug struck again which forced Edge to vacate the Intercontinental Championship just 57 days into his reign.
3 Longest World Title Reign Was 105 Days Long
Edge is one of the most coveted World Champions in WWE history. The Master Psychologist has climbed the mountain 11 times with a record seven World Heavyweight Title reigns and four WWE Championships to his name. Nonetheless, Edge may have held a World Title countless times but not all of his reigns have been long.
Most fans don't realize that Edge's longest reign as a World Champion was for 105 days between Armageddon 2007 and WrestleMania XXIV. He retained the title twice against Rey Mysterio at Royal Rumble 2008 and No Way Out 2008 before he dropped the Big Gold Belt to The Undertaker in his maiden WrestleMania main event.
2 United States Champion
Of course, Edge is a Grand Slam Champion, but with the madness of the Invasion angle, it's hard to remember every single title change. On the penultimate Raw before Survivor Series 2001, Edge defeated Kurt Angle for the WCW United States Championship.
Not many fans fondly remember Edge as the United States Champion as he only held the gold for six days when he retired the championship after reclaiming the Intercontinental Title from Test in a title unification match. That was Edge's sole reign as United States Champion and he barely went after the title once it was revived in 2003.
1 Battled For The Intercontinental Championship Before Cashing-In At New Year's Revolution 2006
Edge engaged in a brief rivalry with Ric Flair towards the end of 2005 and at the beginning of 2006. The Rated-R Superstar was Mr. Money in the Bank, and in the opening bout of New Year's Revolution, he was gunning for his sixth Intercontinental Championship reign at Ric Flair's expense.
It was abundantly clear that Edge was not interested in the slightest at becoming the Intercontinental Champion again. He got himself intentionally disqualified, with Flair retaining the title. However, Edge had bigger fish to fry and many forget about this title match as he went on to dethrone John Cena for his first WWE Championship victory after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.
