WWE Hall of Famer Edgeis one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Edge prematurely retired from professional wrestling in 2011, and it was a tear-jerking moment as no one expected Edge to retire at 37 after he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis which could have caused serious consequences for his health if he continued to wrestle. However, Edge defied the odds by resuming his in-ring WWE career as a surprise entrant in the 2020 men's Royal Rumble match.

The Rated-R Superstar's WWE career has been nothing short of extraordinary with 11 World Championship reigns, five Intercontinental Championships, 14 WWE Tag Team Championships, two Royal Rumble match wins and a Money in the Bank ladder match victory to boot. Edge has done a lot of major things in WWE, but there are still a few things that he hasn't been able to accomplish in his WWE career.

10 Never Won The European Championship

Christian v Edge Rebellion 2001 Cropped

The WWE European Championship was active for five years from March 1997 - August 2002, and Edge had several chances to get his hands on the European Championship. Edge challenged Matt Hardy for the European Championship on the April 30, 2001, edition of Raw, but he failed to dethrone Hardy for the title.

Edge and Christian clashed at Rebellion 2001 in a Steel Cage match with Edge's Intercontinental Championship at stake, but Christian's European Championship wasn't. Edge never won the European Championship but fortunately for him that under the new Grand Slam format, his United States Championship win in the fall of 2001 was enough for Edge to become a Grand Slam Champion in the future.

9 Never Won The Hardcore ChampionshipEdge and Mick Foley Hardcore Championship Cropped

Another championship that Edge never managed to win in the Attitude Era was the WWE Hardcore Championship. Despite being a tag team competitor alongside Christian, Edge had several chances at winning the Hardcore Championship. Edge and Christian were going to pin Shane McMahon to win the Hardcore Championship in August 2000, but Commissioner Foley blocked the title change.

Edge challenged Rob Van Dam for the WWE Hardcore Championship when he was the Intercontinental Champion, but he was unable to become a double champion. However, Edge and Foley were co-Hardcore Champions in 2006, but this title reign was never official.

8 Never Won A Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match

Team Rated-RKO v Team DX Survivor Series 2006 Cropped

Edge has accomplished a lot throughout his WWE career, and he has had some mild success in his eight appearances at Survivor Series. He unified the Intercontinental and United States Championships in 2001, and he won his third WWE Championship at Survivor Series 2008 when he returned to WWE.

Surprisingly, Edge has never managed to win a traditional Survivor Series elimination match. He lost in 1999 and 2000, and he was a member of Team Triple H in 2004 that lost to Team Orton. However, his most humiliating experience at Survivor Series was in 2006 when he was joint-captains with Randy Orton, and Team Rated-RKO was clean-swept by Team DX.

7 Never Won A WrestleMania Main Event

Edge v The Undertaker WrestleMania 24 Cropped-1

Not every wrestler gets to headline WrestleMania, but Edge has managed to do it twice. The Rated-R Superstar defended the World Heavyweight Championship against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 24 in his first WrestleMania main event.

13 years later, Edge was once again involved in the main event of WrestleMania as he challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship in a triple threat match that involved Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37. In both instances, Edge failed to register a victory. He isn't the only man who is winless in multiple WrestleMania main events as the same can be said for Sycho Sid.

6 Never Defeated Ric Flair On PPV

Edge v Flair New Year's Revolution 2006 Cropped

Edge and Ric Flair battled over the Intercontinental Championship at New Year's Revolution 2006. The Intercontinental Championship was a prop in their feud, and Edge wanted to inflict punishment on the Nature Boy.

Mr. Money in the Bank failed to win the Intercontinental Championship for the sixth time as he got disqualified. Edge has never beaten Flair on pay-per-view, but Edge had the last laugh at the end of the night as he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on John Cena to become WWE Champion for the first time.

5 Never Faced Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan & Edge Tag Team Champions Cropped

Edge was in dreamland in 2002 when he teamed up with Hulk Hogan briefly. 12 years prior, Edge watched Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior clash at WrestleMania 6 when he was 16 in Toronto, Canada. Edge and Hogan defeated Billy and Chuck for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

It was the first time that Hogan won a Tag Team Championship in his WWE career. Since they were tag team partners, Edge and Hogan never got to face each other in a one-on-one match.

4 Never Won A World Championship At WrestleMania

Edge v Chris Jericho WrestleMania 26 Cropped

Another thing that Edge has failed to achieve at WrestleMania and that is to capture at World Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All. However, Edge has defended the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 24 and 25 but dropped the title both times.

Edge was a challenger at WrestleMania 26 for Chris Jericho's World Heavyweight Championship after winning the 2010 Royal Rumble match, but he was unable to convert his Rumble triumph into the Big Gold Belt. 11 years later, Edge was unable to win the Universal Championship in his most recent World Championship match at WrestleMania in 2021.

3 Never Won The WCW Tag Team Championship

Edge and Christian Tag Team Champions

The WCW Tag Team Championship became WWE's property in 2001 after Mr. McMahon purchased WCW. Edge and Christian are seven-time WWE World Tag Team Champions, but their cracks were beginning to show after Edge won the 2001 King of the Ring tournament.

Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire were WCW Tag Team Champions when the title came over to WWE. Nevertheless, the likes of the Hardys and the Dudleys went on to win the WCW Tag Team Championship but Edge and Christian added those titles to their collection.

2 Never Won The Universal Championship

Edge v Roman Reigns Money in the Bank 2021 Cropped

Edge has 11 World Championship reigns to his name, and he has been close to getting a dozen World Championship reigns, but it has failed to materialize. Edge has never won the Universal Championship, and he could have been the first man to win the WWE, World Heavyweight, and Universal Championships.

The Ultimate Opportunist failed to dethrone Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship in the triple threat match at WrestleMania 37 with Daniel Bryan featured. Edge and the Tribal Chief had a showdown at Money in the Bank 2021 for the Universal Championship in a fantastic match, but Edge lost the match because of outside interference from Seth Rollins.

1 Never Fought John Cena In A One-On-One Match At WrestleMania

Edge v Cena v Big Show WrestleMania 25 Cropped

Arguably, John Cena is the biggest rival in Edge's WWE career. They have had countless high-stakes battles over the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships, and they have had WWE Championship matches at the Royal Rumble and SummerSlam. However, they never had a one-on-one match at WrestleMania.

Edge and Cena's World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 25 was a triple threat match with Big Show included. This was the perfect opportunity for Edge and Cena to have faced off in a one-on-one match at WrestleMania, but it wasn't meant to be.
