The current level of success for AEW is seeing the promotion continue to develop a loyal audience. Dynamite receives just under 1 million viewers most weeks and has impressed TNT enough to get renewed for a few more years. Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega and Pac are some of the top stars for the company along with new talents like Darby Allin, Riho and Nyla Rose getting featured.

We will look at some of the most fascinating rumors about AEW right now that could lead to bigger changes. The landscape is always changing for a new promotion and some of these rumors could lead to new success or potential struggles. All the talents on the roster have hopes of breaking out, but nothing is guaranteed. Find out what may cause a shift as we explore the rumors that could change AEW's landscape.

10 Legend being revealed as Dark Order leader

The Dark Order having a secret leader pulling the strings is a huge reveal AEW is building towards. Many names have been rumored for the role as it could be a full-time wrestler or a retired personality.

Raven sitting in the crowd for a segment has fans wondering since he’d be perfect for the role. Some theories on social media have questions about Diamond Dallas Page. The biggest rumor is Matt Hardy coming in with a huge role since his WWE contract just ended.

9 New division for hosses

Jim Ross revealed that AEW is currently looking to hire wrestlers that have reputations as hosses. The term hoss typically describes bigger wrestlers who utilize their strength and size advantage to create a hard-hitting in-ring style.

Luke Harper, Brian Cage and Lance Archer are three names currently rumored to join AEW soon. The emergence of Jeff Cobb was another big surprise with AEW reportedly trying to get him under contract with the perk of still getting the freedom to work NJPW dates as well.

8 Cody breaking rule to earn another title shot

The selling point for Cody vs Chris Jericho at Full Gear was that Cody would never be allowed to challenge for the AEW Championship again if losing. It was a bold move to remove Cody from such an important part of the show so early in the company’s star.

Pro wrestling usually leans towards stipulations and promises being broken if it benefits the show. Cody getting back in the title picture could change the landscape in terms of the AEW's credibility. Breaking their own stipulations this early would be a bad sign.

7 Shawn Spears finding a full-time tag partner

One of the underrated storylines on AEW’s second show, Dark, is Shawn Spears’ search for a tag team partner. Peter Avalon, Kip Sabian, Sonny Kiss, and QT Marshall are just some of the names that he has failed to form chemistry with.

This is likely building towards Spear entering a full-time tag team. It could be with one of the rumored free agents coming in when their WWE no-complete clause runs out. Spears is still valued by AEW and will likely become a fixture when he finds his tag partner.

6 Jake Hager having undefeated streak

Jake Hager has yet to wrestle in a match for AEW, but that is about to change at the Revolution PPV. Dustin Rhodes is scheduled to be Hager’s first opponent since joining the new company as Chris Jericho’s enforcer and part of the Inner Circle.

Hager will have to go undefeated if he wrestles consistently for AEW. The MMA career of Hager sees him unbeaten in the Bellator promotion. AEW has the restriction of having to protect Hager’s win-loss record if he remains undefeated in MMA. This match could be the start of the winning streak if he wrestles full-time again.

5 Awesome Kong preparing for retirement

Awesome Kong was attacked by other members of the Nightmare Connection when Brandi Rhodes left the stable. The role of Kong was huge for AEW as one of the more well-known talents for her wrestling career and the acting appearances on the hit show GLOW.

AEW has not used Kong since the attack with rumors of her having to leave the company to film the final GLOW season for Netflix. Kong hinted towards retirement in a few 2019 interviews. If this is the start, AEW will benefit from having her as a coach but will miss her star power in the women’s division.

4 Jurassic Express receiving major push

The crowd reaction for the Jurassic Express trio is quite huge every single time they wrestle. Unfortunately, there are few wins on the board for Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Marko Stunt. AEW still strongly believes in them but are focused on other acts right now.

Part of the confidence in this plan is that Jurassic Express will get even moreover with the losses since fans love to rally behind them. The bigger push will see them ready to strike when a new face tag team is needed higher up the card.

3 More wrestlers joining the Inner Circle

The Inner Circle has remained strong with the same members of Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz. There was a tease of MJF joining the group after turning on Cody Rhodes, but he has remained on his own with other allies.

AEW would add the right member to the Inner Circle if they have the right chemistry with Jericho and does something different than the rest of the group. Jeff Cobb was hired by the Inner Circle, but he could easily become a member if AEW signs him.

2 Jon Moxley getting long run as champion

The showdown between Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley may be the most hyped AEW Championship match yet. Both wrestlers have credible reputations for winning. Moxley is the hotter name right now with AEW fans in love with his new character.

Moxley's segments and matches usually lead to ratings and put up the highest YouTube numbers. Moxley winning would see him having a long reign with ready-made matches against Pac, Kenny Omega, MJF, Darby Allin, and many others to run for the rest of the year.

1 Young Bucks turning heel before Adam Page does

The changes to Adam Page’s character saw him looking like he would pull off the full heel turn. Hangman ended up finding more popularity with fans loving his new character who doesn't care about friends' opinions, and who just wants to win matches and drink beer.

AEW found a way to get Page to the next level after he flopped in his early opportunity against Chris Jericho. The current momentum would see the Young Bucks as the easier heels since Page is too over right now to turn. Some of the actions of the Bucks in Being the Elite skits have fans speculating that they are turning soon.
