The saying that age is just a number seems pretty true in the world of professional wrestling. It might take someone years to master their craft and ascend to the top, whereas someone else could achieve just as much success very quickly at a young age. This might be rare, but it has happened many times in the past.

WWE and AEW are the two biggest promotions in the United States. Both companies have wrestlers from all age groups. Many wrestlers in these two companies are of the same age, but are on a whole different level in terms of success.
10 Sheamus & Jeff Hardy (44)
Up until a few months ago, Jeff Hardy was also in WWE alongside Sheamus. Hardy left WWE out of frustration last year. AEW signed him but before they could utilize him properly, Hardy got arrested with a DUI charge. He's currently suspended, but it's possible he'll return down the road.
Many fans may not realize that Hardy and Sheamus are of the same age (Jeff is four months older though). Both stars feuded last year and also had a DUI angle on SmackDown once.
9 Finn Balor & Bryan Danielson (41)
Finn Balor turned 41 this July, whereas Danielson celebrated his birthday in May. Despite being in their early 40s, both stars look younger and are better wrestlers than most.

They are also very beloved by the wrestling community. Bryan left WWE following a match with Roman Reigns on SmackDown last year. He's proven to be a huge signing for AEW.
8 Kevin Owens & Kenny Omega (38)
Kevin Owens probably had the biggest moment of his career at this year's WrestleMania, where he faced "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. The former Universal Champion is currently 38 years old, the same as AEW's Kenny Omega. Although they are of the same age right now, it won't be for long. Omega will turn 39 on October 16 and it'll take Owens a few more months to turn a year older.
7 Seth Rollins & Jon Moxley (36)
Seth Rollins and Jon Moxley were once part of The Shield faction. Moxley left WWE back in 2019 and joined All Elite Wrestling. He and Rollins are both 36 years old, right now. Among The Shield, Seth is the youngest. He was born on May 28, 1986. Reigns turned 37 this May, otherwise, he and Moxley would've been of the same age as well.
6 Dakota Kai & Hikaru Shida (34)
Dakota Kai recently made her WWE return after being fired from the company earlier this year in April. She and Hikaru Shida are very different from each other. Although they do have one thing in common and that's their age.
Both stars celebrated their 34th birthday a few months ago. With Triple H back in WWE, fans can expect Kai to receive a high push on the main roster. On the other hand, Shida is an important part of the AEW women's division.
5 Alexa Bliss & Britt Baker (31)
Alexa Bliss and Dr. Britt Baker achieved success early in the wrestling business. While Bliss became the youngest SmackDown Women's Champion at 25, Baker won the AEW Women's Championship at the age of 30. Bliss turned 31 on August 9. If WWE and AEW ever decide to do a collab, this would be one of the dream matches for wrestling fans.
4 Sasha Banks & Jade Cargill (30)
Sasha Banks hasn't appeared in WWE ever since her walkout in May. WWE has tried to remove her from their history, and fans have bashed them for it. Jade Cargill, on the other hand, is AEW's most dominating female wrestler to date. She is undefeated in AEW (except for a Casino Battle Royal loss) and is also the current TBS Champion.
3 Sonya Deville & Paige VanZant (28)
Sonya Deville disappeared from WWE after losing her spot as a WWE official and losing against Alexa Bliss on Monday Night Raw. Before wrestling, Sonya also tried her hands at mixed martial arts.

Paige VanZant also has an MMA background and she was signed to UFC previously. VanZant signed with AEW earlier this year. She and Deville are both 28 years old, right now.
2 Dominik Mysterio & Wheeler Yuta (25)
Dominik Mysterio started working alongside his father, Rey, in WWE a few years ago. While Dominik doesn't have much experience in the ring, he's doing a good job. AEW's Wheeler Yuta, however, already has an 8-year in-ring experience. He started wrestling when he was 17, and now he's 25. Both wrestlers are of the same age but were born one year apart.
1 Theory & Jungle Boy (24)
Theory and Jungle Boy are both the future stars of their respective promotions. Both are still pretty young and have a lot of talent. While Jungle Boy is already over with the AEW audience, Theory still has to prove himself to the WWE Universe. He's great as a heel, but if he's going to become the face of the company, he'll have to do a better job.
