While it's true that acting isn't everyone's cup of tea, wrestlers are very experienced in it. After all, this entire business is all about great acting skills. Sure, a wrestler needs to learn how to do the moves properly, but putting on a great show overall is more important and it's something where the acting skills come in handy.

Some wrestlers have also transitioned into full-time actors and become huge. Dwayne Johnson is the biggest example of this, but he's not the only one. Multiple wrestlers have gotten acting gigs, and while not everyone had the leading role, they did get to showcase their talent to the world.

Lana was released from her WWE contract back in June 2021. Her husband, Rusev, was released a few months prior and he's since joined AEW. Fans expected Lana to follow her husband to AEW, but she hasn't returned to wrestling yet. Although, she's made a ton of money since leaving WWE and also got to star in the Paramount+ movie WifeLike where she played the role of Holly.

WWE NXT wrestler Sanga landed a role in Bollywood's Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva in 2018. The film is set to hit Indian cinemas on September 9. International fans may not have heard about this film, but Indian fans are pretty hyped about it. Brahmastra features some of the biggest Bollywood actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor. Sanga will play the role of a villain in the film.

8 The Walk On’s (Steve Austin & More)

Jim Fitzpatrick's The Walk On's will feature many wrestlers such as Steve Austin, Titus O'Neil, Chris Jericho, and Kenny Omega. According to IMDB, the film is still in pre-production but is slated to be released in 2022.

The film is about a group of high school friends helping their sons have a National Championship Season in College Football. There aren't any updates about the production of this film, and it's a little unlikely that it'll get finished in time to release this year.

7 Rey Mysterio Vs The Darkness (Rey Mysterio)

Last year, Cartoon Network Latin America announced a Rey Mysterio animated series called Rey Mysterio vs The Darkness. The plot is about a young wrestling fan named Oscar teaming up with his idol Rey against supernatural beings of the world. This show will have 10 episodes and will release sometime in 2022.

6 Miz & Mrs (The Miz)

In 2018, USA Network gave The Miz a reality television show of his own named Miz and Mrs. The show revolves around Miz and Maryse's life outside wrestling. The show returned for its third season this year in June. So far, 50 episodes of Miz and Mrs. have been released. USA is yet to renew the series for a fourth season.

5 GenZeroes (Paul Wight)

AEW's Paul Wight starred in NFT sci-fi series GenZeroes which was released earlier this year in March. Wight played the role of a character named Thatch. NFT shows are a new idea that most people may not be familiar with.

He retired from wrestling in 2012 but made his return to the business as a Russian commentator for Impact Wrestling in 2021. He also played a role in action television series named Paper Empire, which was released earlier this year.

This year, Cena did a little cameo on The Bubble. He also starred in Suicide Squad's television spinoff Peacemaker as the title character. Cena's also currently shooting multiple films such as Argylle, The Independent, and Fast X.

2 Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (Batista)

Batista made a cameo appearance in Chris Hemsworth's Thor: Love and Thunder as one of the Guardians. He'll also play a role in the sequel to Knives Out (2019), Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Since leaving wrestling, The Rock has become one of the most successful actors of all time. The Rock was also Hollywood's highest-paid actor in 2019 and 2020.
