While Randy Orton is often seen as a serious character, that doesn't mean that there haven't been embarrassing moments for him throughout his career. Whether they were accidental mistakes, storyline ideas, or just something goofy, The Viper has had his fair share of embarrassing moments inside a WWE ring.

After such a lengthy career, it's no surprise that Orton has had plenty of embarrassing moments, as anybody who sustains such a longstanding run in the company inevitably finds themselves in those spots. While it's rare that Orton is involved in comedic storylines, that hasn't stopped him from being in some moments he would rather have forgotten about.
10 RKO Celebration
Randy Orton's character is one that isn't known for having fun and jokes, therefore anytime that he does something with a little more energy it is memorable. Randy's crazy RKO celebration when he took out Mark Henry was certainly one of those.
Typically when Orton hits the RKO, he can go into his own space, pounding the mat and slithering around the ring. However, when he hit Henry with the move this time, he leaped up and hit the splits in mid-air, which was a crazy moment that was very out of character.
9 Dancing With New Day
The New Day has been a hilarious group since they first appeared in WWE, and dancing around is expected for them. However, Randy Orton is not somebody who fans expect to see twerking in the middle of the ring.

However, that has happened, with Orton dancing with the group during one of his babyface runs within WWE. While it was all done as good fun, it's something that is obviously an embarrassing part of his career in comparison to his character.
8 House Of Horrors Brawl
WWE often likes to push the boat out with different types of matches, and while some of them work out well, like the Elimination Chamber, others can be disastrous. The House Of Horrors match was unfortunately one of those poor matches.
Cinematic matches have since become popular, but this wasn't a good one. The match was a total mess and it didn't make either of the men involved look impressive, with this being one that people looked back on in an embarrassing manner.
7 A Shot At Eddie Guerrero
Taking promo shots at different wrestlers is commonplace, and Randy Orton is typically very good at that. However, during his feud with Rey Mysterio heading into WrestleMania 22, he cut an embarrassingly bad promo as he crossed the line.
Orton took a shot at Eddie Guerrero, claiming that he was in hell, following his death. It was a moment that a lot of people hated, and has certainly not aged well.
6 "Stupid!"
Randy Orton is well-known for having personal problems behind the scenes when he was younger. The Viper was often spoken about in a negative light for being aggressive and cocky, and during one match with Kofi Kingston, that all came to the forefront.

Orton let his real-life attitude slip into his performance after a mishap in the ring between him and Kofi, Orton just screamed "STUPID" at him, which was an embarrassing situation for him, and certainly didn't make Randy look good.
5 Announce Table Fall
The announce tables can be known to be quite pesky at times, not always going along with the wrestler's plans. During a match between Randy Orton and Kane, that was very clear, and it was Orton who was left embarrassed.
The Viper was standing on the table when he kicked Kane, only for his other leg to fall through a hole which led to him falling and the announce table going with him. Orton tried to roll out and laugh it off, but it was certainly an embarrassing spot.
4 Attacked By A Fan
Low blows in wrestling are a true heel move that is always done with the intention of embarrassing the other wrestler. However, Randy Orton was left seriously embarrassed at a live event when a fan hit the ring and low-blowed him.
Orton was hitting his iconic pose on the top turnbuckle when a fan hit the ring and low-blowed him. While it was something that should obviously never happen, there's no denying it was an embarrassing moment.
3 Impersonating DX
Doing comedy is something that fans will never associate with Randy Orton, therefore when it happens it always takes people back. It often leads to some embarrassing moments too because they're so different from his usual work.

That was certainly the case during Rated RKO's feud with D-Generation X. He and Edge impersonated the popular tag team which saw them over-acting in what was quite a ridiculous segment.
2 Randy Orton Forgets His Line
Promos nowadays are heavily scripted in WWE, and that is something that brings its own problems in terms of character development. However, one big issue it can provide is wrestlers forgetting their lines.
During an infamous segment with Sheamus on Raw, Randy completely forgot his lines. Orton stopped talking, paced around the ring, and had to go up to Sheamus and ask him for his line, which was certainly a moment he'd likely want to forget.
1 Scared Of Projection Bugs
The build-up to Randy Orton's WrestleMania 33 match with Bray Wyatt was very well executed. Sadly, the actual match between them couldn't have been much worse if they tried, and it led to a very embarrassing moment for Orton.
At several points, Wyatt hit his signature pose in the corner, which led to pictures of bugs appearing on the ring mat. Clearly, they were projections, yet Orton acted very spooked each time it happened, which was far too over-the-top for anybody to take seriously.
