The world of wrestling is full of very dangerous moves. Although WWE's "don't try this at home" warning is one of the most ignored warnings in the history of the sport, wrestlers do perform a ton of moves that could harm a person that tries to duplicate what they see in the ring.

Injuries are as prevalent in wrestling as tights. Sure, there are a fair number of freak accidents that lead to injury despite proper execution. There are also many dangerous moves that show their hazard by causing harm. This list will examine 10 dangerous moves in pro wrestling that are executed all the time.
10 Canadian Destroyer
In the early 2000s, the Canadian Destroyer was brought to the masses at Impact Wrestling. Petey Williams performed the move that added a level of danger to the already dangerous Piledriver. The move is essentially a flipping Piledriver. Despite the clear level of danger, the move is very commonly used in AEW, NJPW, and wrestling programs in Mexico. The move can easily cause a broken neck (and has) if it is performed incorrectly.
9 Clothesline
The Clothesline seems like one of the most basic moves in wrestling. When executed to the chess of an opponent, it can cause minimal impact. The move is dangerous because it is easy to miss an opponent's chest in action.

8 Suplex
The Suplex is one of the most commonly used moves in wrestling. Although it is often taught in the first few months at a wrestling school, it's a move that can easily break a neck. It's dangerous because it requires a ton of momentum to pull off by both parties. Big E broke his neck in 2022 when Ridge Holland botched a simple Suplex outside of the ring.
7 Shooting Star Press
The Shooting Star Press is one of the best high-flying moves in wrestling. Although it is sometimes used as a finisher, the move is very common for any high flyer on the AEW and WWE roster. The move requires extreme athleticism and can cause a whole host of issues if it's botched. Brock Lesnar almost broke his neck performing the move at WrestleMania 19.
6 Rear-Naked Choke
Choke holds have been used in wrestling since the beginning of sports entertainment. Although a large part of the submission moves requires a large error to be dangerous, the Rear-Naked Chokehold is a move that can easily be dangerous. Even the slightest error can actually pass out an opponent. It's a commonly used ground hold since it's relatively easy to perform.
5 The Curb Stomp
Seth Rollins made the Curb Stomp famous in the world of wrestling. It is one of the most protected finishers in the WWE but does get used at other wrestling companies like AEW. The move is also very dangerous.

4 Kimura Lock
Any move that can be used to win an MMA match is very risky for wrestlers. The Kimura Lock is a move that is commonly used on the ground since it looks painful and can be easily performed. The move has broken many arms in MMA and is very dangerous since most wrestlers are massively strong. Braun Strowman can snap any arm on the WWE roster with this move.
3 Styles Clash
AJ Styles made the Style's Clash famous. The move is a simple facebuster that Styles has used at almost every wrestling company he's competed at including WCW. Although he claims that the move is harmless, the move has been botched many times by Styles and others. If the person receiving the move tucks their neck, this move can easily break bones. The move has actually injured a few wrestlers and is still a legal move that is used everywhere in wrestling.
2 Superplex
A simple Suplex is already a dangerous move. When wrestlers decide to move the Suplex to the top turnbuckle, it triples in danger. A Superplex was once one of the most "death-defying moves in wrestling. The WWE used to have wrestlers perform the move off of the top of a steel cage to add drama to a wrestling match. The move is very commonly used in wrestling, today. Unlike the Suplex, the Superplex can cause a host of hazards for both wrestlers performing the move.
1 Jumping Out Of The Ring (Dives)
Jumping out of the wrestling ring onto one (or more) opponents is very common at every wrestling promotion. Although the move is fairly illogical, many assume it is less dangerous since the impact can be mitigated by the person receiving the move. In all actuality, jumping out of the ring carries a ton of risk for wrestlers.
CM Punk tore his tricep performing the move at All Out 2022. Other wrestlers have broken collar bones and torn ligaments performing the move. When wrestlers add acrobatics to the move, the list of possible dangers increases.
