Tag team wrestling is a lot of fun and has a bit of a different flavor than singles action. There's no defined pathway to success, as many former, and future world champions have been in high-profile tag teams over the years. Some of those teams include D-Generation X, The Steiner Brothers, The New Day, and more.

However, those teams are remembered due to the names that were a part of them, and their historically great resumes. These ten WWEtag teams from the 2000s didn't have the same luck or success. Still, they're fondly remembered by fans well over a decade later.

10 Hurri-Kane

Kane & The Hurricane Cropped

The Hurricane has had some awesome and unique tag team partners over the years. That being said, arguably the most memorable of which is Kane. In 2002, The Hurricane was drafted to Raw and formed an alliance with the Big Red Machine.

They were dubbed 'Hurri-Kane', and even won the tag team titles. While their reign only lasted around a month, many fans likely remember this entertaining alliance.

9 Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch

Admittedly, this team got a lot of opportunities partially due to WWE's weak tag team division in the 2000s. Nonetheless, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch debuted in 2005, as country characters, but with polar opposite personalities.

These two held tag team gold on three different occasions in the 2000s. While they quietly went away after 2008, this duo is still fondly remembered by many fans.

8 Finlay and Hornswoggle

Finlay and Hornswoggle

To be fair, it's really hard to forget the team of Fit Finlay and Hornswoggle. In 2006, the leprechaun debuted as the Irishman's partner. While he would later be revealed to be Finlay's son, there was a brief time when he was alleged to be Vince McMahon's.

Admittedly, Finlay and Hornswoggle didn't have too many major storylines or matches besides that feud with McMahon. Still, fans remember this pairing well, as they challenged for tag team gold on several occasions.

7 The Jersey Triad

To be fair, one can argue that The Jersey Triad is more a 90s team than a 2000s one. Regardless, the trio was previously together in WCW, as Bam Bam Bigelow teamed with Diamond Dallas Page and Chris Kanyon.

However, as a part of The Invasion, Page and Kanyon headed to the WWE. They teamed together for a while, even having a brief stint with tag team gold.

6 Jesse and Festus

In case it's not clear by now, WWE was going all-in on country tag team gimmicks in the mid-2000s. In 2007, the two young prospects were called up from Ohio Valley Wrestling and were portrayed as unintelligent hillbillies.

These two never won tag team gold, but did challenge for it on several occasions. While they didn't do anything major, many fans still remember this team.

5 Deuce 'n Domino

Deuce 'N Domino Titles

Deuce 'n Domino is a team that came and went with the quickness. In January 2007, the duo debuted in somewhat of a 1950s greaser gimmick. They had Cherry, and later Maryse, manage them as well.

While fans might remember Deuce 'n Domino well, that's in spite of the fact that they were very minor characters. Also, it doesn't feel that way, but these two were only on the roster for less than two years.

4 The Un-Americans

The Un-Americans was one of the more entertaining stables in the early 2000s. Led by Lance Storm and Christian, the group comprised fellow non-Americans Test and later, William Regal. Based on the name, it's easy to understand their gimmick.

The team was only together for around a year but did have some runs with the WWE tag team gold. Despite their brief time together, this group was a lot of fun and had great chemistry together.

3 The New Breed

The New Breed

ECW's The New Breed was created in early 2007 to help boost the return of the brand. Well, that, and they wanted to have some of the newer stars in the company, feud with older hardcore legends of the past.

The New Breed comprised CM Punk, Kevin Thorn, Marcus Cor Von, Elijah Burke, and Matt Striker. Despite only being together for a few months, this team is very well-remembered, partially due to the early days of the revamped ECW.

2 Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore

Jimmy Yang Shannon Moore

Jimmy Yang and Shannon Moore were a tag team created just to feud with another team on this list, Deuce n' Domino. However, after their brief feud with the former tag team champions, they stayed together for quite a while.

They even got to challenge for tag team gold on a couple of different occasions. While Yang and Moore were never major names for the WWE, this team was still a bit of fun.

1 Billy and Chuck

Rico, Billy & Chuck Cropped

The team of Billy and Chuck is very well-remembered by fans, but not because of what they did in the ring. The same-sex couple tag team was managed by Rico and was a very controversial gimmick when they debuted in late 2001.

They won tag team gold, but are more remembered for their storylines together, including their controversial wedding. Still, over two decades removed from this pairing, many fans still remember it. But maybe not fondly.
