It will certainly make some fans feel old to see that WrestleMania is nearing its 40th year in 2024, with the event becoming a global phenomenon for WWE over several different decades. The show has featured some of the all-time greatest performers in history, with every event at least promising one moment which fans remember.

Some cards have had quite a lot of matches, with the desire to feature every big star available and make the most of the long run-time that WrestleMania has. However, that has led to some matches over the years being forgotten about, getting lost in the shuffle within bloated events.
10 Tazz & APA Vs Right To Censor - WrestleMania 17
WrestleMania 17 is often regarded as one of, if not the single greatest WrestleMania of all time. That doesn’t mean that everything on the card was a classic though, and the Tazz & APA vs Right To Censor match was something that did bring the event down ever so slightly.
It was a pretty unremarkable six-man tag which lasted just a few minutes. When fans look back upon their favorite matches from this show, no one ever brings up this one.
9 Elias Vs Baron Corbin - WrestleMania 36
WrestleMania 36 was forced to take place with no fans in attendance, and the effects of the pandemic led to some very underwhelming matches taking place which weren’t WrestleMania worthy. One of those was Elias vs Baron Corbin.
Due to there being two nights of WrestleMania, this match was well and truly lost in the shuffle and forgotten about, which is of no surprise given how boring it was.
8 Robert Roode Vs Jinder Mahal Vs Randy Orton Vs Rusev - WrestleMania 34
Randy Orton is a legend in WWE, and he has had many huge matches at WrestleMania. Perhaps his lowest profile match came at WrestleMania 34 in a fatal four way for the United States Championship.
The four men involved couldn’t quite live up to the pace expected for a four way. It ended with Jinder Mahal getting the win in a bland finish, doing little to make fans remember it. It was an unpopular decision too after Mahal's negatively recieved WWE Title reign.
7 Battle Royal - WrestleMania 4
WrestleMania 4 is remembered solely for the tournament held throughout which crowned a brand-new WWE Champion. It is easy to forget that non-tournament matches actually took place on the show, considering 11 bouts on the card were involved in the title tournament.
Fans may have forgotten that the show kicked off with a battle royal, though it had no stakes aside from a trophy. Bret Hart, who had been a tag team wrestler up to this point, shone in a big way, though it was Bad News Brown who emerged as the victor.
6 League Of Nations Vs The New Day - WrestleMania 32
When WrestleMania 32 aired, it was the longest ever WWE event to have taken place (though subsequent events would surpass it). This made for a long show which dragged and dragged, which wasn’t helped by some average matches.

The New Day vs League of Nations had little heat, no stakes, and was overshadowed by some legends returning post-match. It is a match which offered nothing to the show when all was said and done.
5 Mr. Perfect Vs The Blue Blazer - WrestleMania 5
On paper, a WrestleMania match between Mr. Perfect and Owen Hart could have been in contention for one of the best WrestleMania matches ever. However, with just 5 minutes to work with in their respective WrestleMania debuts, they didn’t have enough time to do anything special.
Sure, what they did was still good, but it wasn’t enough to stand out as anything close to a classic as it was cramped into the WrestleMania 5 card, with all the focus on the main event between Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage.
4 Kurt Angle Vs Kane - WrestleMania 18
Kurt Angle is one of the all-time greats from an in-ring perspective, and he has had multiple brilliant WrestleMania encounters. However, fans often overlook his match against Kane as it was far from the quality of his other matches.
Despite being two legends of the business, this match gets lost in the shuffle when looking back at WrestleMania 18. It was a long show with this match stuck right in the middle, not able to stand out in any prominent way.
3 Big Show & Kane Vs Carlito & Chris Masters - WrestleMania 22
There have been some pretty good opening matches in WrestleMania history, but this wasn’t one of them. On a show which featured moments such as Rey Mysterio winning the World Heavyweight Title, Edge spearing Mick Foley through a flaming table, and Shawn Michaels jumping from a ladder onto Vince McMahon, this opening bout is cast aside.
Big Show and Kane defended their Tag Team Titles against Carlito and Chris Masters in a match which offered very little, and would’ve been better suited to an episode of Raw.
2 The Hart Foundation Vs The Bolsheviks - WrestleMania 6
Bret Hart is renowned for being one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and he has multiple strong WrestleMania showings to back it up. However, at WrestleMania 6 he was in perhaps the most pointless and forgettable match on the card.

Teaming up with Jim Neidhart, the pair took on the Bolsheviks. This lasted just 19 seconds, adding very little to the card, with it not doing them any favors given they were already an established unit in WWE.
1 Bobby Lashley Vs Finn Balor - WrestleMania 35
WrestleMania 35 is officially the longest one-night WrestleMania of all time, and it will likely remain that way with WWE now moving to two-night shows. There was plenty of good stuff on the show, but as the night went on, the matches dragged and there was little heat towards the end.
One match which suffered due to this was Finn Balor vs Bobby Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship. In what should have been a triumphant victory for Balor’s “Demon” persona’s WrestleMania debut ended up being a forgettable match which was designed to let the crowd rest before the main event.
