Promos will always remain an important part of wrestling. Some people will even argue that they are the most important thing in wrestling. Without great promos, it becomes very hard to build storylines that people care about. A good talker can instantly add life to a dull rivalry. They can also get the fans behind or against them with just the use of their mouth.RELATED: Top 10 Current Talkers In WWE, RankedSome of these promos get talked about often, whereas some get overlooked by people. The following are some of the best wrestling promos fans have even seen, ranked by the users of Cagematch.net.
10 The Pipebomb (9.87)
CM Punk's "Pipebomb" promo was arguably the best of his career. It was fueled by his real-life frustrations, and Punk did a very good job at blurring the lines between kayfabe and reality. He took a shot at the McMahon family and probably spoke too much as his mic got cut before he could finish his promo.
During the promo, Punk called himself "the best in the world" when it comes to wrestling, and he criticized John Cena for allegedly kissing Vince McMahon's backside and claimed that Hulk Hogan and The Rock did the same. Punk was also upset that Rock would be main-eventing WrestleMania 28 and not him. Punk claimed that he'd leave the MITB pay-per-view with the WWE Championship and possibly defend it in NJPW and ROH.
9 “You Stole My Life, My Money, My Legacy!” (9.87)
Paul Heyman is undoubtedly one of the best talkers in wrestling history. Before Survivor Series 2001, Heyman cut a shoot promo on Vince McMahon. He first talked about Team Alliance vs Team WWF and how the former would beat Vince's team. Paul said that Vince's children hate his guts. He also mentioned stars like Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels and how Vince used them to build his wrestling empire. Heyman also accused Vince of stealing his ideas in ECW and ruining his legacy entirely.
8 Ric Flair's Promo On The Final Nitro (9.87)
On the final episode of WCW Nitro, Ric Flair cut a promo against Vince McMahon who had earlier said that "the very fate of WCW is in my hands." Flair disagreed and said that he can't hold the likes of Sting, Lex Luger, Harley Race, and many more in the palm of his hands.

The Nature Boy then went on to talk about how Vince's father voted for him to be the World Champion in 1981 and since then, he's been on the top of this world. He then put over WCW and ended the promo by challenging Sting to one last match with him.
7 Austin 3:16 (9.87)
Most people would agree that King of the Ring 1996 was the place where "Stone Cold" Steve Austin became a star. Austin won the King of the Ring tournament that night by defeating Jake "The Snake" Roberts in the finals.

The Texas Rattlesnake then gave a speech, which lasted less than two minutes, that included this iconic line: “Austin 3:16 says: 'I just whipped your ass!'”
6 Daniel Bryan's Retirement Speech (9.89)
Back in 2016, Daniel Bryan retired from wrestling. He gave his retirement speech on the February 8th edition of Monday Night Raw. Bryan talked about the concussions he received due to wrestling, and how because of them, he can't wrestle anymore. Bryan then talked about gratitude and spoke about the things he loved. He ended the segment by asking for one more "yes" chant from the fans.
5 CM Punk & John Cena's Promo Before MITB 2011 (9.89)
CM Punk and John Cena's rivalry in 2011 was awesome. A week before their Money in the Bank match, Punk discussed his plans following the show on Raw. The Cult of Personality talked about how he made WWE socially relevant and McMahon wants to sign him for a very long time. He was later interrupted by Cena and then both talked about how they are going to whip each others' asses at the Money in the Bank PPV. The segment ended with a message from the Anonymous Raw General Manager.
4 Bret Hart Reforms The Hart Foundation (9.89)
Bret Hart was never known for his promo skills but towards the end of his WWE run in 1997, he became really good on the microphone. On March 31, 1997, Bret Hart reformed The Hart Foundation and also cut one of the best promos of his life.
Bret was a heel at that time, and talked directly to his brother, Owen, about how the Americans don't understand family and how they turned brother against brother.
3 “You’re A Disgrace To Professional Wrestling, Tommy!” (9.89)
Shortly after the "Cane Dewey" promo, Cactus Jack delivered another fantastic speech on ECW. Once again, he tried to convince Tommy Dreamer that ECW isn't the right place for him and that he should go to WCW because "ECW fans will be the death of you."
Cactus Jack also called Tommy a "disgrace to professional wrestling." Foley talked about how much he suffered for the wrestling business and still didn't get respected by anyone. He believed he had a moral obligation to not let someone become like him.
2 Bobby Heenan's Hall Of Fame Speech (9.90)
Bobby Heenan was one of the most legendary commentators and managers of all time. He retired from wrestling in 2001 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004. His Hall of Fame speech was quite hilarious. He accidentally mentioned "WWF" instead of WWE and then started talking about wildlife. He ended his speech in tears by longing for Gorilla Monsoon to be there.
1 Cane Dewey (9.93)
Cactus Jack delivered his infamous "Cane Dewey" speech in 1995 when he was feuding with Tommy Dreamer. During a match with The Sandman, a fan had brought the "Cane Dewey" sign, but Mick Foley didn't take offense at that time (although his wife did). In September '95, he referenced this sign in probably the best promo of his life. It was a very passionate speech where he showed his disgust towards the ECW fanbase and tried to convince Tommy Dreamer not to make the same mistake as he made.
