The Attitude Era was an incredibly fun time to be alive for professional wrestling fans, but even with that being the case, a whole lot of people tend to believe that the quality of the matches during that time was nothing compared to what we're getting these days.
Today, we want to blend the two together by doing some fantasy booking with one of the best performers of this generation: Seth Rollins.
He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but nobody on Earth can deny that he is one of the most exciting in-ring performers in the whole business.
10 Mick Foley
Seth has always possessed the potential to thrive in some kind of hardcore role, and while WWE has never fully exploited that, we all know there’s one man who would’ve easily been able to bring that side out of him.
Mick Foley did it for the likes of Edge and Randy Orton, and you can bet he would’ve been up for the task of getting Rollins over.
If nothing else, the spots would’ve been insane.
9 Shawn Michaels
We’ve seen WWE tease the idea of this feud a few times now, and yet despite Shawn coming out of retirement for a random Saudi Arabia nostalgia match, they’ve never pulled him out of retirement again for a match against Seth Rollins.
It’s a shame because while their styles are different, there are a few similarities between the two competitors.
The battle of the superkicks would’ve been enough of a reason to make this happen.
8 Billy Gunn
He may never have become a main event star, but there was always something intriguing about Billy Gunn.
He was the most underrated member of DX, and beyond that, he always knew how to make some noise in whichever role WWE decided to cast him in – with the pop from his Intercontinental Championship win in 2000 serving as proof of that.

It may have only been a mid-card feud, but Gunn would’ve done a decent job of getting Rollins over and making him look good.
7 Bradshaw
Anyone who watched the Dark Side of the Ring episode regarding the Brawl 4 All tournament will know that Bradshaw was probably one of the stiffer workers in WWE back in the day.
If you put that up against someone like Rollins, who isn’t afraid to get in there and throw some hands himself, it would’ve been pretty fun to watch.
The promos alone would’ve been fascinating, with JBL letting Rollins know that he doesn’t exactly enjoy his style of wrestling.
6 Jeff Hardy
Rollins and Hardy have gone toe to toe in a tag team setting before, but this would be different.
Prime Jeff Hardy, when he was in the midst of his chaotic Attitude Era run, would’ve been a great rival for Seth Rollins back in the day.
They would make magic together in the ring, especially if they were given the chance to compete in a ladder match together.
For that style of match, they could’ve made history.
5 Jerry Lawler
This one is going to seem a little bit niche, but if you want to see a veteran try and school a youngster on how to really wrestle, this is the match for you.

Another option for a match like this could’ve been Ric Flair, but in the heart of the Attitude Era, he wasn’t really a consistent figure. Lawler was, and we all saw how much he disliked seeing people ‘disrespect’ his style of wrestling. With Rollins, they could’ve made a whole lot of money together.
4 Eddie Guerrero
Eddie always did love a challenge, and you can bet he would see Rollins as the kind of guy who he could put on a Match of the Year contender with – which is the definition of a challenge within itself.
Eddie’s in-ring antics were always great fun to watch, and a heel Seth would’ve been the perfect person to execute those kinds of segments with. He’s got great comedic timing, and if they ever wanted to get serious, Seth is down with that, too.
3 The Rock
The Great One could have some wonderful feuds with many of the top guys of this era, and we think Seth Rollins more than qualifies.
Seth is the closest WWE has been to finding “the guy” to replace John Cena as the face of the company, and we’re including Roman Reigns in that. The Rock would almost certainly be intrigued by that, especially with the history that they share courtesy of Rollins’ time with The Shield.
2 Stone Cold Steve Austin
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Seth Rollins is a match that screams money to plenty of fans, especially in his current Monday Night Messiah gimmick.

Austin is the exact opposite of Seth right now, and that’s the kind of character clash that you need in order to have a high-level feud in the main event scene. The promos alone would be magical, with Austin doing everything in his power to avoid being ‘converted’ by Seth and his goons.
1 Edge
A few years ago, Seth Rollins threatened to break the neck of Edge during a feud with John Cena.
In the 2020 Royal Rumble we saw Edge go after Seth as retribution for that, and now, we want to see the full feud take place.
Edge has always been a fan of Seth’s in-ring work ethic, but you just know that he’d do everything in his power to get him over as a world-class heel.
