Rowan Blanchard spoke about her sexuality on Twitter this past weekend. The Girl Meets World actress told fans she identifies as queer.
“In my life — only ever liked boys,” wrote 14-year-old Blanchard. “However I personally don’t wanna label myself as straight, gay or whateva so I am not gonna give myself labels to stick with — just existing.”
A fan asked Blanchard to elaborate, and she said she was “open to liking any gender in future” and that’s the reason she identifies as queer.

The actress said she got negative responses on Twitter after her comments, and seemed disappointed at the reaction. “I thought I was being brave and was proud of myself and then everyone attacks me,” she wrote.
